Hospitals & Healthcare
Moisture and HVAC investigations for hospital and aged care facilities across NSW.
WHS Code of Practice compliance. Documentation structured to satisfy a PCBU's duty of care under the 2026 Code on biological hazards.
Learn about WHS complianceHospitals and aged care facilities carry the most stringent obligations under the 2026 WHS Code of Practice on biological hazards. Where workers are in regular contact with vulnerable persons, the Code's requirements for hazard identification, documented risk assessment, specialist consultation, and ongoing review apply with particular force. ProMould works alongside facility IPC and engineering teams to provide the independent technical assessment these environments require.
Why it matters
Why healthcare facilities need a different approach
Standard mould inspections are not sufficient in clinical environments. HVAC performance, humidity control, pressure relationships and construction activity all interact in ways that require an engineering approach. We work alongside facilities and IPC teams to identify moisture source and cause — not just visible growth. Construction activity is one of the most consistent sources of moisture and contamination risk in hospital environments — a temporary roof penetration, a breached vapour barrier or a disconnected drain can create conditions for growth within 48 hours. It is often overlooked until a problem has already established itself.
